Fred, H. Piotrowsky, 82, died on Monday December 15, 2003 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ. Fred was born in Bremerhaven, Germany and came to the U.S. in 1929, settling in Union City, NJ. He moved to Denville, in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had worked in the Maintenance Dept. and had operated the boilers at R. C. A. in Rockaway, retiring in 1975. He then went to work for the Parsippany Board of Education in their maintenance department. He had a Black Seal Lic. And taught boiler operations at both the Parsippany and Morris Knolls High Schools Adult Education classes. He was a photographer and had worked for McCabe Studios in Denville. He had also worked for the Daily Record, Dover Advance, and the Citizen Newspapers. He photographed weddings, and local sporting events, as well as doing yearbook pictures for various high schools. He also took pictures for St. Clares Hospital and for the last couple of years he has been taking pictures for the Cooks Pond Senior Housing in Denville, NJ. He was a member of St. Marys Church, the Denville V.F.W. Post #2519, the Shoot the Breeze Club of the Denville Senior Citizens. He was a founding member of the Denville Blue Angels Football team. He had served as an officer on the first Morris Knolls Football Booster Club, in Denville. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Marion nee Thorpe. A son Frederick of Jefferson Twp., and a daughter Dina Christopher of Denville, NJ. Five grandchildren, Cortney, and J.C. Christopher, and John, Mark, and Danielle Piotrowsky. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday Dec. 19, 2003 at 10:00 AM for an 11:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Marys Church in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6 9 PM.
