Cuozzo, 99, died on Wednesday May 7, 2008 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home, Boonton Township, NJ. Mrs. Cuozzo was born in Dover, NJ was a resident at Rockaway Borough, Montclair, and Glen Ridge, NJ. She was a 1926 graduate from the Dover Business School. In her early career she was employed at Bell Labs and in their development of Television she became the first woman on TV. Mrs. Cuozzo was an Administrative Manager for the Hematology Lab in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, NJ and was an Office Manager at Dr. Grabel’s office in Cedar Knolls retiring at 75 years old. She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife Ann Maria Cuozzo of Boonton Township, her 4 grandchildren, Robert S. and his wife Debbie Cuozzo, Jill and her husband Ed Fischer, John S. and his wife Paulina Cuozzo, and Kevin J. and his wife Rebecca Cuozzo, her 7 great grandchildren, Corinne, Ryan, Evan, Meghan, Robert, Robert, John Robert, and Maria Ann, her devoted friend and sister in law Rose V. Cuozzo, her Godchildren Gary Cuozzo and Janie Leonard Spring, and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com (please light a candle in memory of Elsie on website), on Tuesday May 13th at 10:00am for a 11:00am Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at Sacred Heart of Jesus, Rockaway Borough, NJ. Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Monday May 12th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
