Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
George F. McEneaney, 68, of Budd Lake, NJ formerly of Mountain Lakes died after a short illness on Sunday August v17, 2003 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
He was born in New York City and was resident of Mountain Lakes for sixteen years. In many ways, he remained a New Yorker to the core: an avid fan of the local sports teams, opinionated, pragmatic, loyal. He actively supported youth sports through his involvement in the Mountain Lakes Swim Association. A veteran of the US Army, Mr. McEneaney graduated from Villanova University in 1957. Supporting his family in good economic times and bad, he equally enjoyed the challenges of work on Wall Street and as an independent truck driver.
Mr. McEneaney is survived by five children; Betsy McEneaney of Cerrito, CA; Alana Mac Donald of Cerrito, CA; George McEneaney of Snoqualime, WA; Stephen McEneaney of Laguna Beach, CA; Mary Menard of Mountain Lakes, NJ and his four grandchildren Connor and Reed MacDonald, and Donovan and Rowan Menard.
Arrangements were by Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ. A private service was held Wednesday August 20, 2003.
