Elvira A. Cavanaugh, 81, of Ogdensburg formerly of Denville died on Thursday July 24th at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Dover, NJ. She was born in Manhattan, New York, lived in Wayne and Denville for 27 years before moving to Ogdensburg in 1980.
Mrs. Cavanaugh was a employee at the Acme Supermarkets in the Morris county area from 1955 to 1975. She became a Home Health Aid for the Morris County Visiting Nurse Assoc. at Morristown, NJ for 19 years retiring in 1997.
Mrs. Cavanaugh was the wife of the late Charles H. Cavanaugh Sr. died in August 24, 1979. She is the mother of Ellie and her husband Henry Goldsworthy of Ogdensburg and Charles H. Jr. and his wife Kathe of North Bend, WA. Surviving are five grandchildren and one great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She is the sister of Mrs. Joan Myers of Denville.
Mrs. Cavanaugh single most important thing in life was her family.
