❖
Jennifer Huffstutler Myers passed away on December 18th, 2024, just shy of her 93rd birthday. She led a rich and fulfilling life, creating countless cherished memories with her family and friends. Her unwavering love and devotion to her loved ones shone brightly, a constant source of warmth and positivity.
Jennifer was born on December 19th, 1931 in Remlap, Alabama to the late Dovie and Sanford Huffstutler. She grew up on a farm and was the youngest of six siblings. As a young adult, she began modeling locally and earned titles Miss. Southern Belle and Miss. Birmingham. However, her adventurous spirit led her to leave her small hometown and move to New York City, where her career blossomed. Under her stage name, Jennifer Statler, she landed numerous television roles and even scored a part in a film. Moving to New York City proved to be not only a turning point in her career but where she met her soulmate, Philip Myers, a native New Yorker. They were married in 1965 and later moved to Northern New Jersey when they started a family. Jennifer and Philip enjoyed many beautiful years together, raising their family and building a life full of love and memories. After Philip’s passing in 2011, Jennifer found comfort and strength through the support of her family and the new friendships she had cultivated along the way.
Jennifer is lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Jillian (Mark) Mazzacano and Kevin (Casey) Myers; her treasured grandchildren, Lea, Sean, Kaitlyn, Lauren, and Emily; her cherished extended family in her home state of Alabama; her brother-in-law, Sid (Bonnie) Myers; and countless dear friends who brought joy to her life.
Jennifer devoted her free time to volunteering at animal shelters, a cause close to her heart, as she was a lifelong lover of animals. Her compassion and dedication to their well-being touched the lives of many furry friends. In her memory, charitable contributions are being collected for the 11th Hour Rescue, an organization that embodies her passion for giving animals a second chance at life.
