Just wanted to say how much I respected and appreciated everything he did. I was too stupid at the time to tell him that but over the years when we met after 35 years at my parents funerals it was a great joy to know him and talk to him like a man. Thank you for being that guy that was loved, respected and someone who cared about people and his family. A truly great man. Peace to you

Sincere sympathy at the loss of Skippy. My dad (Robert Peterson / deceased) used to say how he enjoyed those early years when they worked together at Rockaway Township PD. Well done faithful servant. Memory Eternal. Nadine Peterson-Smith

I always enjoyed spending time with Skip. When I was a new Chief, he always made himself available if I needed any advice. RIP Chief.

Art (Buster) and I are so saddened by Skip's passing. We worked with Skippy for many years and admired him. He took great pride in our Police Department and all the friends he made along the way. He had such a soft spot for elephants and when we went on vacation to Epecot one year we found him the perfect elephant to add to his collection. To Marion and family we send our love and prayers. Soar on high with the Angels Skip. Rest easy knowing that your legacy will live on forever. Keep watch over all of us that love and will miss you. ~~ Linda & Buster
