Uncle George (Unk) was an amazing man. He was kind, caring, loving and funny. I always felt comfortable just walking into his and Auntie’s home. Unk would always say to me ‘what are you doing here’ or ‘who let you in here’ and I’d lightly smack his arm. He was a joy to be around, always smiling and laughing. I will forever miss my precious Unk. I love you and miss you, Marybeth

Unk was always smiling. My memories include watching him cheer and yell during Ranger games, laughing while watching The Benny Hill Show, doing the chicken dance, getting garden tips with him, laughing so hard watching him blow the yolk out of a raw egg at Easter, playing lawn games at the famous family picnics, jumping in the very large leaf piles he made for us. So many wonderful family birthdays and holidays we all spent together. Many times I snuck into their pantry and enjoyed the Devil Dogs, Twinkies and other great snacks my parents didn't buy. Dipping bread in the big pot of sauce cooking on the stove. They always caught me. I felt safe there. I will miss my visits with you Unk. I love you so much. I will always think of you when I'm planting my garden.

I know everyone always says they have the best, but I truly did have the best Grandpa in the world. I am so bless that my kids got to know him. His laugh was infectious, his love of sports and lawn maintenance was incredible and possibly a tad obsessive, but most importantly his love for his family was more than words could ever describe. It didn't really matter what it was, he loved you anyway even it was something he didn't love himself. He was the kindest man, not a bad bone in his body. They don't make great men like him too often anymore. Everyone knew him and everyone absolutely loved him. I'm happy your back with Grandma. I will be looking for cardinals and dimes with my babies. I love you forever.

I will always remember Uncle George fishing in the surf at ocean Beach NJ. And we shared a live for the NJ Devils. Great man.

Pops Haas made the best Italian Hots you have ever tasted. Every time he would make them Bobby would call me up, and I was out the door and to his house in about 15 seconds. He could never figure out how I was so fast. He was like a second Dad to me.
