Our family lived just a few doors down from the Dachisens. I was about the same age as his brother Peter. Harry was always a big brother in every way. He lived an admirable life with a large family and a history of dedicated service to his church.

Harry was an amazing man. A great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Through all the years I have known him, the one thing that has stood out for me is his consistency and strength. He was a rock--no matter what the circumstance. He truly embodied grace--and many times grace under pressure.
He will be truly missed. But he is now safe in the arms of the Lord he so loved and followed; and together with his beautiful wife, Sib (who I miss every day!)
To Andrew, Milissa, Michele, Jennifer and all the rest of the family, we send our love and deepest sympathy. You are an incredible family!

Harry was a special man - kind, loving, understanding and always there for so many of his family. And I am so very proud that his family was there for him when he needed them most. They are truly Harry's legacy.
Andrew, Michelle, Milissa and Jennifer - I can only imagine how difficult this loss must be so soon after your Mother. It is my hope that you take great pride in the family you are and when possible, reflect on all the beautiful memories your parents have left you with.

Growing up with my brother was typical of most brother relationships - we would fight, we might argue but he was always there for me when I needed him most. We loved our conversations about sports and unfortunately he was a Dodger fan (never understood that) and I was of course a Yankee fan. So your can imagine how those conversations went from year to year. Harry was someone I always looked up to as the years passed and words cannot express how much I will miss him. Rest in peace my dear brother. All my love, Peter

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Harry but he sounds like an amazing man whose good works have impacted many. I know he will live on through those whose lives he touched, especially his family.

What a great man. After teaching a course for his diaconate training, it was an even better delight to work with him at St. Clements. But nothing was better than he saved me from Fr. Connery's cats and fleas that Fr. left me when he went on vacation. Seeing him and his wife even after I moved on from St. Clements was always a delight. He will now exult in eternity.
