We met Jack and Pat in 2006 when we learned our third daughter, Elizabeth, would be born with Trisomy 18. Jack and Pat mobilized an army of people to aid our family., including Knights of Columbus, Joey Bella Fund, parishes of St. Cecelia’s and St. Mary’s and the Saint Monica’s Guild. They watched our children when we were at the hospital. They came to our home to be with our daughter who was born December 2006. When Elizabeth died March 19 th 2007 Jack and Pat planned her funeral with us. Jack wrote her eulogy. They planned play dates with our children and their beloved grandchildren. We got to know their beloved daughter, Karen, and son in law, George. Every holiday since 2006, without fail, Pat came to our home and delivered to our now college aged daughters a holiday gift basket. And wonderful baked goods for us. Our girls always looked forward to her arrival. Pat and Jack both had a heart of gold and nothing was more important to them than God and their family. As a couple they have left an indelible mark on countless people. We were fortunate to visit Pat over the holidays and saddened to learn of her illness. But her memory is etched on so many people’s heart, and in the history of the church, and she lives on in the hearts of her family, especially her beautiful granddaughters’ hearts. And now she is with Jack. And they will enjoy eternal life, no doubt in Heaven, together. And we, like so many, will never, ever forget her or Jack. God Bless her family.
