Grandpa Ray, I will always remember our many conversations about your life’s adventures, they were very inspiring, to our curiosity about the human mind and consciousness, to life’s mysteries, to laughing till our bellies hurt talking about old funny stories. Even though we lived so far away, I always felt like you were right here.
Thank you for your advice, your caring, kind, loving and generous nature. May you always reside in my heart and beyond.
I love you Grandpa.

I am grateful our lives intersected and for the advice on living my best life.
I was blessed to have Ray as a Father-In-Law who loved his grandchildren and was always loving and kind to me.

My Uncle Ray was an amazing man all the stories and photos I have many more I need to find I will cherish the memories forever. I’m glad I have some of the things he got from his travels around the world that I can one day now pass onto my daughter. One of my memories I have about my Uncle was his house in Teaneck NJ now if you know then you know what I’m talking about lol. I remember being a little girl going there with my mom to see my Aunt and I would sit on the stairs that would lead upstairs but they never allowed me up there as they didn’t want me to get lost in all my uncles things that he had everywhere. He will be missed by many and those who knew him loved him. My heart goes out to my cousins Mark Dawn and Craig. RIP Uncle Ray I love and miss you forever

Say good-bye to your dad for me. Thank him for everything he's done for me, keeping my junk cars running so I could get to class; for opening his door to me when I had none to open myself. Thank him for his service to our country. Tell him how proud he can be of his son. Hold his hand and tell him he is in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Ray Vicknair just 14 years ago, when I became a part of the Vicknair family after marrying his son, Mark. Ray welcomed me into the family from the outset. I loved his wicked sense of humor. He was a very generous man, always handing me cash each time I visited. He even gave my son, Michael, cash after meeting him once. Ray was always sending Mark and I thoughtful gifts, gizmos and gadgets...things to make our life easier. He had a fondness for animals, which influenced his children's love of same. Ray often spoke of all of his grown children with pride.
