First met Joyce when we worked together as nurses at Meridian for about 8 years. Joyce always had a big smile and a great sense of humor. We stayed friends after retirement and we often visited her in St Augustine. She introduced me to the joys of vintage shopping and how to get the best deals. She insisted on cooking us delicious meals which we thoroughly enjoyed. We practically had to beg her to let us take her out to dinner as payback. She was a happy and fun person with a beautiful outlook on life. She was always thankful and always kind and gracious it was an honor and a joy to be her friend. I feel lucky that I knew her. There are years of memories ... love the trips to LBI with the kids...the delicious meals prepared by Joyce at her home for the holidays or just lunch, dinner...always had fresh cotton cloth napkins, even for the kids...Joyce always wore a smile and gave so much from the heart, a truly selfless friend who gave the best advice...negativity never entered her world, she always had that glass half full!!! Her smile always preceded her and her inviting nature, so soothing. Joyce inspired us all to be positive, have fun and enjoy the good things in life. Christmastime, she spoiled everyone...didnt care if she got any presents!!! Eggplant Parmesan sandwiches at Primos in Lake Hiawatha around 1975 were the best!!! Joyce always brough baked goods and lots of italian food, when she visited...she loved to feast! Best cook and mom ever, and friend!!!:)
Love you, my friend...Mary P xo

Words can not describe what a wonderful person Joyce was and how much she will be missed! She was a truly caring, loving mother, wife, and sister in law. She always had a light that shined on all those she met. We are all the better for having shared time with her!
