Obituary of Muriel Ethel Ogborne
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Ogborne, our loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Muriel passed away on November 13, 2023 surrounded by her family at the age of 93.
Muriel was born on April 5th, 1930 in Kearny, New Jersey. She lived in Kearny for many years before moving to Florham Park, NJ. She loved her home in Florham Park. There she had 62 years of marriage to the love of her life Edward and created a beautiful and loving family.
Muriel had a great sense of humor and would spend hours laughing with her family. She had a wonderful singing voice and was very active in the church choir. Muriel was also a Sunday school teacher and was active in the couple’s club.
Above all she was the most wonderful mother and grandmother anyone could ask for and her memory will forever live on in their hearts. Muriel loved and adored her grandchildren.
Although we are saddened by Muriel’s passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and reunited in Heaven with her husband, Edward Ogborne, and her cherished dog, Maxine. Muriel’s memory will live on through her devoted children Linda (Bob) Bubenik of Mendham and Donna Thomas of Hackettstown, NJ. Her adored grandchildren Krista, Bill (Kara), Edward (Rachel), Charlie, and Vincent.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 17th, 2023 from 12:00PM-3:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834.
