Gloria A. Scarpulla, 82, of Rockaway Twp, formerly of Hoboken and Clifton, passed away peacefully Friday, January 18, 2013. Born April 28, 1930 in Clifton, she was the daughter of Joseph and Tomasina (Testa) Fantaccione. Gloria was an Employee Benefits Manager at NJ Sports and Exhibition Authority until her retirement in 1993.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ciro "Skip" Scarpulla; four daughters, Karen (Charles) Drumm of Roxbury Twp, JoAnn (Louis) Palmieri of Little Falls, Fran (Steve) Figurelli, Roxbury Twp, and Judith Scarpulla (Vincent Pugliano) of Upper Montclair; adored grandchildren, Dante, Joseph, Dana, Vanessa, Ryan, Nick, Amanda, Erica, and Vittorio; precious great-grandsons Lucas and Hunter; and sister, Carol Del Giudice.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Gloriann; granddaughter, Isabella Rose, 1 sister, and 2 brothers.
Gloria will be missed terribly for her smile, laughter, compassion and willingness to listen.
Services will be held Monday, January 21, 2013, at 8:45 am at Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, for a 10:00 am Mass at St. Bernard Parish, 466 Mt. Hope Rd, Wharton. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-6 pm Sunday. Please omit flowers.
