Obituary of Patricia Ann Drylie
Patricia A. Drylie (Geiger) passed away peacefully at the Oaks in Denville on August 21, 2022, at the age of 85.
She was born in Orange and had lived for many years in West Orange as well as at her home away from home in Toms River, before moving to Denville, NJ in 1996.
Patricia worked as a Phlebotomist for the New Jersey Blood Center for many years before retiring. She loved to travel, and she visited many different countries all over the world, including Egypt, Russia, and Turkey as well as so many others. She enjoyed going on cruises and spending time antiquing and going to estate sales. In her younger years she was a very competitive bowler. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with all her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricia was very proud of her Boys in Blue.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 39 years, David A. Drylie in 1994.
Patricia is survived by her loving children Dr. James J. Drylie (Shannon) of Andover, Patricia C. Drylie of Denville, and David S. Drylie (Robin) of Montville, NJ.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Daniel Zappulla, Kieran Drylie, Gina Manger, David Drylie, Samantha Zappulla, Nolan Drylie, Maria Drylie, Sean Drylie and Jamie Lynn Drylie. Her great grandchildren Emilee, Moriah, Sophia, Cary James, Julian, and Isaiah as well as her sister Elizabeth Schimpf also survive her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday August 28, 2022, from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
Services will begin at 8:45AM on Monday August 29, at the funeral home and then going to St. Cecilia’s Church 90 Church St. Rockaway, NJ 07866 for a 10:00AM Liturgy of funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
