I remember Bob at all the football games with a smile and coffee and donuts. He always was happy and had nice things to say to all the kids and about all the kids. Laura, I know you will miss him terribly and the rest of the family will too. He was a great father to you and he couldn't have asked for a better daughter. He had such a love of life and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. I will always remember him with a smile.

We were fortunate to meet Bob about 2 years ago when he became a driver for the Green Hill adult residence. Bob always had something chipper to say to perk up the lives of those around him. Some days he would stop by at breakfast just to be friendly and share his upbeat mood. Bob had such a wonderful way of making people feel special and we are grateful for having known him.

I remember Bob's reliable and welcome presence at all of the kids' sports events when we were neighbors of Laura and Brian in Long Valley. He was always ready with a smile, a kind word and quick wit--a fine person with a long and admirable history of community service.

dear family....
I had the absolute pleasure of being a friend of Bob "Pop" Gattoni's. Pop taught me that friends do not have to be perfect. He did things his way not that everyone agreed with him but he felt in his heart it was the right way.
He found great pride and love in all he did for the Rotary(he is wearing his pin in the photo so he does not owe any money)....he was proud of his work he did at Ada Budrick and with the Mt Tabor kids and all the groups he worked with.Linda and Laura you were his lights to follow...your children were his stars. I have a tea mug with Eric's picture on it and i know many stories about Brooke and Kevin and Alex and all the soccer and hockey games he got to see. Remember always with love.
He was a friend after my 3 surgeries .He came by and brought me strawberries. He helped me through after my days at Ada Budrick and he came to see me later as I restarted my career in teaching. He and Trudy would come to the day care and they were sweetest couple.
I last saw Pop when he stopped by my house to visit. In my heart Pop will always be Pop. And I will remember him with love. Love Maureen Armstrong

I can remember asking my dad a question, and his reply would be "carefully". I remember when my sister and I were teens, we talked my dad into going on this scrambler ride. It was inside this building, in the dark. When dad got off the ride, he looked at us like he was going to kill us! The ride made him sick to his stomach! I'm going to miss his sense of humor, love, kindness and his friendship. My dad was Mr. Congeniality, he was a people person. He loved working for Green Hill Retirement Home. He loved all of his friends. He loved spending time with his 3 grandsons and grandaughter. He loved life. Thank you dad for being strict when you had to with me, thank you for being there for me and helping me through the difficult times. I love you and will miss you dad!

I have many fond memories of your dad, He was such a funny guy and always a pleasure as a customer. Bob always had a joke for us, corny, yes, but it always gave me a reason to pick on him. My favorite line for him was "you can't come in here to shop if you are going to tell us a joke"
Of course that would prompt him into one of his bad jokes..Bob was a wonderful person with a sincere love for his fellow man. God Bless Him and God Bless his family.
