John Ruempelein, 89, died on Monday March 24, 2003 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ. John was born and raised in Volsbach, Bavaria, Germany and came to the US in 1937 settling at St. Francis Health Resort in Denville, where he ran the Farm. In 1953 when the Sisters started the Hospital, John became a Boiler Engineer and ran the systems of the hospital until retiring in 1979. His wife Anna, with whom he was married to for 46 years, survives him. He is also survived by his Brother In-law John Stein of Denville, and two nephews Harry Stein of Seattle, WA>, and John Stein of St. Paul, MN. A brother George of Volsbach, Germany, and a sister Maria Fich of Bayrueth, Germany, and several nieces and nephews in Germany. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday March 28, 2003 at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Francis Chapel in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
