Obituary of Hector I. Rodriguez
Héctor Rodríguez passed away on Monday, March 28 2022 with his loving family by his side after a brave battle with cancer. He shared 49 years of amazing memories with family and friends.
He was born and raised in Colombia to Pedro Pablo and Edna Lucia, as one of six children (Adriana, Nestor, Socorro, Fernando, and Constanza). After being raised in Bogota and finishing his studies in Cali, he and his family relocated to the US. In New Jersey is where he met his soulmate, Patricia Gonçalves, with whom he had a beautiful son, Rodrigo Ivan on February 11, 2015. In the same year, he found and united with his amazing carbon copy daughter, Laura Alejandra.
Hector was the kind of man that would stand out from any crowd and would make anyone and everyone around him happy. Always with a smile and something good to say about anyone. Everyone that he has met in his life can remember a happy memory with him. He was full of Energy and Love.
He was a prodigy in architectural design, leaving hundreds of properties with his unique signature. His passion and dedication will always be an inspiration to everyone. He will always be remembered for the legacy that left to all of us, and how he enjoyed life to the fullest. His mission in life was to help others, especially any member of the family in need. He had no regards for money and wealth but for life and enjoyment .
Above anything else, his family was his first priority in his life, especially his parents, with whom he lived all his life.
As Hector always said : “La vida es un ratico y hay que vivirla” and “Los amigos son la familia que uno escoge”.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church at 6 Sussex Ave., Morristown, NJ at 5:30 pm on Thursday March 31, 2022. (Also available by zoom)
