Obituary of John “JACK” Franko

John "Jack" Franko, 79, died on Monday March 17, 2003 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ.
He was born in Passaic, N.J. and lived in Belleville, before moving to Denville, in 1957.
He had graduated from the Casey Jones School of Aeronautics in Newark, NJ and went to work for American Airlines, until WWII when he was called into service for the Army Air Corp with the Air Transport Command, flying the HUMP (the China, Berma, India Flight).
Following the war he continued as an aircrew with American Airlines until retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the HUMP Pilots Assoc.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Theresa F. nee Kraska. Two sons Mark of Leonardtown, MD. and Keith and his wife Patti of Fanwood, NJ. A grandson Kevin P. and three sisters Mary Flanagan of Westwood, NJ, Margaret Termyna of Denville, and Rita Bargemann of Seal Beach, Ca.
Funeral from the funeral home on Friday March 21, 2003 at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Marys Church in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
