Suzanne M. Balbo nee Maresca, 72 died on Thursday March 6, 2003 at her home in Ortley Beach, NJ.
She was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ and moved to Morris Plains, NJ in 1962, finally moving to Ortley Beach section of Dover Township,NJ in 1993.
She had worked in the Product Planning Dept. of the Chicklet Division of Warner Lambert Corp. in Morris Plains, NJ for ten years, retiring in 1985. Following her retirement she had been a Hostess on the Atlantic City runs for Garden State Bus Lines for five years.
She was an active person and had been a past member of the Jersey City Women's Club. She had served on the Morris Plains Board of Education in the 1960's, as well as being a member of the Morris Plains Democratic Committee. She had taught CCD at St. Virgil's R. C. Church in Morris Plains, NJ.
She had been a member of the Tradewinds Chapter of Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital. She was in the Ladies Aux. Of both the Seaside Heights American Legion Post # 351, and the Ladies Aux of the Seaside Heights Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 399.
She is survived by her Husband Henry with whom she was married to for 52 years. Her two daughters and their husbands Donna and Peter Lyden of Denville, NJ, and Susan and Joseph Addesso of Basking Ridge, NJ. Her six Grandchildren, Monica, Renee, Dayna , and Peter Lyden, and Caroline and Julia Addesso. Her Brother Frank Maresca, of Gainesville, Virginia, and her Sister Louise Schmidt of Holiday City, NJ.
Family and friends are gathering on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.Funeral services will be private. Donations are being accepted to the Lupus Foundation 1300 Picard Drive Suite 200 Rockville, MD 20850 or to Scleroderma Foundation 12 Kent Way Suite 101 Byfield, MA. 01922.
