Some of the Ifondest memories of my kids growing up when we lived in Rockaway include Elsie. She was the fiestiest Grandma I ever knew- an inspiration to me.

Elsie I always enjoyed talking to you at our family gatherings. It was sad when you got sick, yet every time I saw you, you never acted like anything was wrong. You were a good grandmother and a wonderful woman. I will miss you and I know that you will be watching over my cousins from heaven. Special condolences to Aunt Lisa and her family.

Elsie....Gregarious,firey, fiesty, fun, loving, spiritual, eloquent, honest, classy and strong.... these words are how I describe you. Especially strength.... Emphasis on strong.... more strength than I have ever witnessed in a human being.
You will be missed very much in this world by many. You and I have shared many conversations some deep, about love, family, illness, relationships and even mortality and not being afraid of it. We mostly talked of life, family and laughs... oh,the laughs! I think of you every time I hear the word "cocktail" and laugh out loud remembering you acting it out during a Pictionary game. These last months you've made me laugh wih your aggression when playing words with friends. Your little messages for me to get moving made me smile, and once in a great while you'd actually let me win.... We still have one pending.... but you've fixed me good.... now you've left me waiting, no fair! By habit, I'll be looking for you and watching for your pop ups that will not come.
I will never finish that game with you because dear lady, you are now on a beautiful new adventure. Your journey is one of joy and light where you fly with angels and slumber with God.
You remain in my heart and prayers along with all those who love you and will be missing you. Thank you for sharing yourself and showing us all how to make the most of life and make the best of every situation. You showed us all how to be pillar of strength and dignity right down to your last loving breath. Rest peacefully and watch over us sweet angel.
Love, Diane
