Donald W. Vanderhoof Sr., 72, died at his home in Mine Hill, NJ on Sunday Feb. 9, 2003. He was born in Wharton, NJ and lived for the last 30 years in Mine Hill.
Mr. Vanderhoof Sr. was a United States Navy Veteran and had served in the Korean War and Vietnam War.
Mr. Vanderhoof Sr. was a machinist at Astro Machine Shop, Florham Park, NJ for 13 years, he retired in 1981.
He survived by his son Donald W. Vanderhoof Jr. of Mine Hil, his daughter Margaret Jane Mack of Greeley, PA. He had three grandchildren and one great grandson. A brother Frederick of Denville, and Robert of Florida and a sister Marion Babbit of Mt. Olive.
A funeral service on Thursday at 11:00AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Veterans Cemetery at Wrightstown, NJ. Friends may call at the funeral home wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Mine Hill Rescue Squad, Mine Hill, NJ 07803.
