Obituary of Ruth C Schaefer

Ruth C. Schaefer, 82 died on Sunday Feb.2, 2003 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ.
She was born in Kearny, NJ and moved to Livingston, NJ in 1950. She later moved to the Lake Arrowhead section of Denville, NJ in 1967.
She worked in the Equity Savings and Loan in Kearny NJ during WWII. She left work to raise her two children, until 1965, when she went to work in the Mayflower Savings and Loan in Livingston, NJ until her retirement as the Corporate Secretary in 1990.
She is a Charter Member of the Presbyterian Church of Livingston, NJ.
Her husband Robert A. Schaefer died on October 7, 1997.
She is survived by her son Reverend Alan Schaefer, the former Pastor of Hope Presbyterian Church of Tinton Falls, NJ, and former Assistant Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, NJ. Her Daughter and Son In-law Ellen and Stephen Scardena and two grandchildren Scott and Allison Scardena all of Denville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Feb. 6, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church of Livingston 271 West Northfield Road Livingston, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. There will also be time to visit with the family from 10:30 AM on Thursday prior to the services at the church.
