Rose, we lose many family members and friends but none so dear as our Mothers. You will feel her spirit with you so often through the years, almost as though she has never left you at all. Embrace her presence and take comfort in sharing the memories with her as if you were sitting together, sipping tea and chatting. No one can take that from you!

There is not a teenage holiday memory that does not include the warmth and gracious comfort of time spent with the Chiaramonte's. Their home was my favorite place to be and I cherish my times spent with the extended family over Thanksgiving and Christmastime. Vi was a fabulous cook and I still use some of the recipes that she and Mama gave to me. She will be remembered with love.
