Julia M. Bilanycz (nee Kowalchuk) passed away on Tuesday January 13, at St. Clares hospital. She was 77 years old.
Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada she later moved to and became a citizen of the United States.
She and her husband George owned and operated the Blue Haven Lounge in Chicago, IL for 17 years before retiring in 1978.
Surviving are her husband George of Denville, NJ, Daughters Christine Bilanycz of Denville, NJ, Mary Ann Bilanych of Cedar Knolls, NJ, and Rosemary Andrian of Denville, NJ. Grandchildren Stefan and Paul Bilanych, and Adam, Deanna, and Marc Andrian. Sister Emily Jaworski of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Friday at 9:00AM and then on to St. Johns Ukrainian Church in Whippany, NJ for a 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Hanover, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM with a prayer service starting at 7:30PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Johns Building fund.
