I just heard the news and I am so sad and sorry to hear of Mrs. Grieb's passing. I was warmed by the care packages she sent to her daughter regularly in college that included those delicious brownies. I remember Mrs. Grieb as a loving and influential woman in her daughter's lives. I am thankful that I had the chance to know her. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the family.

Elaine, Brenda, Marie and Mr. Grieb. I can't even imagine what you are feeling...my thoughts and love are with you all...looking back I have nothing but the fondest memories of bike rides, basketball, graduation parties, games in the basement, halloween, heidi (the dog, i think that's what her name was ;-), first days of school, walks to the bus, and mostly your mom's (wife's) warmest biggest heart ever known. She was like a second mom to me during my elementary/central high days and will be remembered forever. Be strong for each other and know that she will always be with you all.
Love from my entire family to yours,
- Den

Elaine,
It is with my deepest sympathies that I offer my prayers to you and your family. Aside from the sadness felt upon learning of your loss, I was swept up in many warm memories of growing up, just a bike ride away from you and Dan, and the image of your Mom smiling and waving "Hello" as I'd pass by.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have a lot of wonderful memories, albeit many years ago, of playing in the pool at the Grieb house, with mom Brenda always watching us, and Brenda and I just goofing off - then coming inside, to watch General Hospital...Mr Grieb always doing something in the yard - and even as the years passed, and I would come home from college, or wherever I may be, Mr and Mrs Grieb would always be outside, doing something in the yard, and wave! Mrs Grieb will surely be missed - Marie, Brenda, and Elaine, I know these are just words now - but you know that your mom is whole again, at peace, and no longer sick, and she is smiling down at all of us. She's especially wondering "who's Lynn? I thought she was Ellie? Emma's kids are so confusing!" Rest in peace now, Mrs. Grieb.
love, Scott, Ellie (Lynn) , Lynelle, and Daniel (deGuzman) Berube

Brenda,
Your "love" for your family...Bob, your daughters, and granddaughters is what I remember most about you! When you spoke of them that warm smile and twinkle in your eyes was "ever present".
I want to thank you too, for always taking the time to "really listen to my concerns" with empathy, compassion and encouragement.
As my "beloved co-worker", you will always hold a "special place" in my heart... Katie

Dear Marie and family,
It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again.
With Loving Memories

Brenda,
Thank you all the things you did for me: taught me to ride a bike, play baseball, drive a car; for giving me a place to stay when I came out of college - which was a whole new learning experience.
Thank you for always being there for me and my family; you never let me down.
You are my sister and a friend; I will miss you and I will always love you.
Love
Jim

You have always been a "friend of the heart", dear Brenda. I was always able to count on you for sound and honest advice, and for listening and genuinely caring. From the times in Parsippany when we stretched our phones as far as we could as we talked and cleaned our kitchens, to our times on the Community Board, to the Girl Scouts, CCD, and to your care of my girls when I started back to work, our friendship remained strong. All these years later, we have always been in touch and have shared the many joys and problems of our lives. How I shall miss you, dear friend. Your memory will live in my heart forever, and I will be eternally grateful for your friendship. Rest in peace....
