Claire Furka, 86, died on Saturday March 8, 2008 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
Mrs. Furka was born in Jersey City and in 1992 moved to Morris Plains. Mrs. Furka was a Bookkeeper Manager for American Express in New York City for 20 years retiring in 1989. Mrs. Furka was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Our Lady of Czestochowa, Jersey City, a member of St. Christophers Church and their Senior Citizen Group, Parsippany; she was a wonderful cook and avid reader and enjoyed sewing.
Her husband John Furka in 1980 predeceased her.
Her daughters Claire Wajszczuk and husband Bob of Randolph, Michele Kane of Secaucus, her son John Furka and wife Jennie of Denville, her grandchildren, Robert, Susan, Tara, John Jr., Erin, Kimberly, and Christopher, her great grandson, Michael and many nieces and nephews survive her.
Her funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Claire on web site), on Wednesday March 12th at 8:30am for a 10:00am Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Christophers Church, Parsippany, NJ. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington, NJ.
Relatives and friends will be received on Monday March 10th 7-9pm and Tuesday March 11th 2-4 and 7-9pm.
