Margaret P. Carey passed away at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton Twp., NJ on February 16, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born in Odin, KS, one of 12 siblings, she was raised on a farm where she developed her hard work ethic and family values. She then lived in Denville for most of her life where she raised her family before moving to Boonton Twp., NJ in 2015. Margie loved her job at King of Kings Preschool where she worked for 25 years as the cook. The students there especially loved Miss Marge's "chicken noodle soup". She also had a passion for gardening and yardwork but her main driving force was being a devoted mother to her six children and an adoring grandparent to her 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents John and Regina (Schmidt) Werner, as well as her siblings Eugene, Robert, Johnnie, Theresa, Annie, Mary and Rudy. Margie is survived by her loving children Michael (& Kathleen) of New Milford, CT, Kenneth (& Helen) of North Garden, VA, Angela (& Jeff) Sintic of Denville, Eileen (& Bill) Schicke of Boonton Twp., Maureen Todd of Pasadena, TX, and Kathleen (& Frank) Cikovsky of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; her grandchildren Crystal, Mikey, Derrick, Shaun, Haley, Heather, Regina, Billy, Destinee, Alexa, Frankie, Dylan, Vanessa and Dustin; and her great grandchildren Miles, Kacey and Connor. Her siblings Tony Werner of KS, Irene Werner of AZ, Loretta Rutherford of KS, and Francie Prosser of KS also survive her. Funeral services will begin at 9am on Saturday February 20, 2016, at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 where friends and relatives can visit until departing for a Liturgy of Christian Mass at St. Mary's Church in Denville at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Merry Heart of Boonton Twp., Employee Fund, 199 Powerville Road Boonton Twp., NJ 07005 by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
