Loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, Patricia Perlett, 78, passed away January 12, 2016 in her Rainbow Lakes home. Pat was born in Paterson, NJ to Robert Hussong and Evelyn Summerbell Silbernagel on May 7, 1937. She was raised in Lincoln Park and graduated at the top of her Boonton High School class. She went on to earn a BA degree in Elementary Education from Kean College and two Master's degrees in Educational Leadership and Library Science. She was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader and a Regional Cub Scout Coordinator before a 30-year teaching and librarian career at Mendham Middle School. Pat was an avid lifelong reader, a lover of learning, and impressively conquered the NY Times crossword puzzle and daily Jeopardy questions. Her passion during retirement was researching and leading tours for the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms. Pat also enjoyed movies, concerts, and live theatre with her husband Robert of 53 years. Her children and grandchildren are grateful for her unwavering support of their varied interests and events. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Perlett; parents, Robert Hussong and Evelyn Silbernagel, and son, David Scott Bell. She is survived by her sisters Suzanne Hussong McAdams; Cathy Silbernagel Curd (Warren Curd); daughter Sharon Woodard (Greg Woodard); sons Jason Perlett and Joshua Perlett (Kathleen Perlett); and three grandchildren Seth Woodard, Tanner Woodard, and Charles Perlett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms: 2352 Route 10 West Morris Plains, NJ 07950.
