Obituary of Douglas Anthony Maresca

Douglas was born in Belleville and was a resident of Kearny, at one years old he and his family moved to Rockaway, where he spent his entire life forging his many friendships through the schools and many sports programs provided by the town and school system. Douglas attended Catherine A. Dwyer Elementary, Copeland Middle and Morris Hills High School, graduating in 1994. Douglas later went to Metropolitan Technical Institute in Fairfield, NJ and obtained an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering. Douglas is survived by his parents, Nicholas and Tena Maresca, his paternal grandmother Evelyn Maresca, his sister April Yeager, and his two brothers, Nicholas Jr. and Steven, and his seven nieces and nephews, and his soul mate Laura Wohland. Douglas’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.som, (please light a candle in memory of Douglas on web site), on Saturday January 22nd at 8:30am for a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Clement Pope and Martyr Church Rockaway Township, committal and interment services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday January 21st at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
