Ronald W. Glesnes passed away December 21, 2010. Born in Webster, Wisconsin. Educated at St. Philip's School, Bemidji, Minnesota, Bemidji High School and The University of Minnesota. An electrical engineer, he was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone in Minneapolis, Western Electric in New York City, and for the last many years at Bell Laboratories in Whippany, NJ. He was awarded the Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMST) award and worked primarily on military technology contracts. He retired as a Supervisor. He was a Ham Radio operator and an avid follower of technology beginning as a teen-ager. His amateur radio call letters were K2RG. He is survived by his wife, Ann of Rockaway Township, his son William R. and his partner Anne Travis of West Newton, MA and his sister Helen Hoepner and her husband Terry of Eau Claire, WI. Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Tuesday Dec. 28, 2010 at 8:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Clement Pope and Martyr Church 154 Mt. Pleasant Ave. Rockaway, NJ. Interment will be Wednesday Dec. 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Walnut Hills Cemetery, Brookline, MA. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
