Sara Whelan "Sally" Cunniff, 93, passed away at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare's Hospital, Dover, NJ.
Mrs. Cunniff was born in Mt Vernon, NY and was a longtime resident there before moving to Denville in 1995. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Davenport Shore Club, New Rochelle, NY, was a past president and member of the Resident Council at Franciscan Oaks, was a member of St. Mary's Church, and a member of the Ladies of Charity and the Catholic Daughters both of New York.
She was predeceased by her husband Vincent M. Cunniff in 1997.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cunniff's funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Sally on web site), on Monday Sept. 13th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary's Church. Committal and interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday Sept 12th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
