Lindstrom, 79, passed away on Thursday August 12, 2010 at the Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Township, NJ. Mr. Lindstrom was born in Guttenberg, NJ and was a resident of Rockaway Township since 1964. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Claims Adjuster for Volkswagen of America in Engelwood, NJ for 25 years and then a boat salesman for Hockenjos Boat Co., in Lake Hopatcong, NJ retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Nor-Bu Lodge at Lake Telemark. He was the beloved husband for 52 years to Gerda (Nee Griemsmann) Lindstrom, father of Lisa Anne Gibbs and her husband John of Clayton, NC, and Allen W. Lindstrom and his wife Bari Waxman of South Orange, NJ, and grandfather of Emily, Olivia, Lily and Molly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Allen’s memorial services on Saturday August 21st at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Green Pond Rd., Rockaway Township, NJ. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, or the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
