Andrew was born February 16, 1923 in Mt. Carmel, Pa as one of 13 children. He was a resident of Irvington from 1945 to 1985 moving to the Cedar Lake section of Denville. He worked with the Civil Conservation Corp (CCC) when he was in high school. Andrew was accepted to Steven’s Institute of Technology but could not attend due to family commitments. He was a 2nd Class Motor Machinist for the United States Navy he served on the Henrico, he was a small boat operator that laid smoke for invasion troops during WW II. He worked at the Crucible Steel for 1 ½ years, worked for CO 2 Fire Equipment at Newark Airport for 7 years, was a mechanic at Good Humor for 5 years, was a mechanic at Irvington Exxon, and worked for Public Service Bus Transport as a bus mechanic for 7 years, and he retired in 1985 after 30 years service as a Supervisor for the Township of Millburn township garage. He was a past commander of the American Legion Post 140, Millburn, NJ, he was an avid NY Yankee fan, fisherman, and loved track. In July 29, 1945 he married Olga Mudrowsky, she predeceased her husband on March 15, 2003. Andrew is survived by his daughters; Ruth Incitti and her husband Lance, of Denville and Carol Klimek, of Rockaway, his grandchildren, Robert Klimek and his fiancée Jamie Meny, Lisa Incitti Landis and her husband Alan Landis, Karen Incitti Grove and her husband Christopher Grove, his great grandchildren, Maggie and Melanie Landis, Abigail and Colton Grove, his brother, George Hvizda of New Mexico and his sister Helen Yankowski of East Newark, NJ. Andrew’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Andrew on web site), on Saturday July 17th at 9am for a 10am mass of Christian burial service at St. Francis Chapel, Denville, NJ, committal and interment services at Denville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday July 16th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
