Robert V. Condon Jr. passed away in Sparta, NJ on June 10, 2010. He was 64 years old. Born in Morristown he grew up in Whippany and lived in Short Hills for many years before moving to the Lake Mohawk section of Sparta, NJ in 2005. Robert served in the US Army and was a Tomb Guard for the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. He earned his BA from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was also a C.P.A. Robert worked as The C.F.O. of SBK Records prior to working as the Vice President & C.F.O. of Merrimac Industries in West Caldwell, NJ for 12 years before he retired in 2008. He was an avid Ornithologist and golfer, and loved photography, antique cars and jazz music. Robert is survived by his wife of 4 years, Cheryl (Day) Pessolano of Sparta, NJ, and his sons Robert V. Condon III of Brooklyn, NY and Sean Condon of New York City. He is also survived by his step sons Craig Pessolano of Hoboken, NJ and Kevin Pessolano of Newburyport, MA, his 2 Grandchildren and 3 Step Grandchildren. His siblings William Condon of Hopatcong, Richard Condon of Whippany, Marie Smith of Flanders, and Patricia Quadrel of Whippany also survive him. Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 will be held on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at 9AM for a 10:30 Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at Blessed Kateri Church in Sparta, NJ.
