Keith J. Lyden, 42, died on Tuesday May 4, 2010 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ. He was born in Denville and lived in the Indian Lake section of town all his life. He loved boating as well as playing hockey on Indian lake, where he has been a life member of the Community Club. He played hockey throughout his life starting with the Denville PAL Hockey League and later at Morris Knolls High School where he had been the captain for the team. While attending County College of Morris he played for the 1987 Regional Championship Team and he also played for the NJ Colonial Travel Hockey Team. As an adult he coached hockey for Denville PAL for his son as well as nephews and friends children. He had also coached the NJ Devils Youth Hockey Club. Keith was a NJ Lic. Union Plumber and he worked out of Union Local #14 in Lodi, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Stephanie A. (Sabo), his son Keith J. Lyden Jr. and his daughter Chloe E. Lyden, and his two Springer Spaniels Rikki and Freddy. He is also survived by his brother Peter Lyden and his wife Donna, his sisters Denise Provost and her husband Bill and Beverly Schreck and her husband John, all of Denville. Keith is also survived by his Father In-law Michael Sabo of Lake George, NY, his Sister in-law and her husband Marylouise and Bill Guida of Rockaway, and his brother in-law and his wife Michael and Melissa Sabo of Stanhope, NJ. All are invited to a Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass on Friday May 7, 2010 at 1:00 PM, at Sacred Heart Church at 4 Richards Ave. Dover, NJ. There will be no visiting hours.
