Jones (Nee Gehwiler) 87, passed away at Merry Heart Nursing Home at Boonton Township on Sunday April 11, 2010. Mrs. Jones was born in Union City, NJ and in 1991 was a resident of Rockaway Township. She was the proprietor of an embroidery business in Union City called Bertcliff Embroideries before retiring at the age of 68. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford W. in 2006. She is survived by her children, Dr. Clifford W. Jones of Shamong, NJ, Kathleen A. Jones of Union City, NJ and Arlene Cunningham of Rockaway, NJ and her grandchildren Jaclyn and Lisa Callan, and Alicia and Emily Jones. Bertha’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Bertha on web site), on Thursday April 15th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial services at St. Cecilia’s Church 70 Church Street, Rockaway, NJ 07866. Interment committal services at Van Liew Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ. Relatives and friends will be Wednesday April 14th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Donations to St. Cecilia’s Church would be appreciated.
