Ruby E. Hopping, age 81, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. She was co-owner of A-1 Marking Service, Mt. Tabor, for over 35 years. Ruby had a wide variety of interests, including collecting antiques and gardening. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and was known for the care she took of her home, which had been featured in NJ Home and Garden. In her younger years, she had attended Julliard to study music, singing, and piano, and had also been a Barbazon Model. Ruby and her husband Raymond J. were once featured on the Brother P-Touch Calendar. Ruby is predeceased by her daughter, Chrysan Dobosh, and her brother, Richard Deeds. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Raymond J., sons Raymond W. and wife Cindy, and Robert S. Hopping, all of Rockaway Twp; grandchildren, Doug, Erin, Chris, Heather, Rob, and Rich; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother Robert Deeds and wife Vivian. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28, at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, from 6-8 pm. Cremation will follow.
