Charles was born in Carbondale, PA, was a resident of Denville, and was a longtime resident of Lake Hopatcong. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was the owner operator of ALMAC Paving Co. and was also a truck driver and truck mechanic for Petro Oil Co. for many years before retiring 2 years ago. Charles was a Past Commander of the Lake Hopatcong American Legion Post #245 and a member of the American Legion Riders Post 391 at Mine Hill. He is survived by his wife Linda May (Ehrenberg) MacLean, his son, Scott MacLean and his wife Jennifer of Lake Mohawk, his daughter, Karen Moran of Lake Hopatcong, his son Steven MacLean and his wife Kristen of Oxford and his six grandchildren, Xavier, William, Jonathan, Hannah, Patrick, and Carson and his brother Russell MacLean of Missouri. Charles’s funeral will be conducted at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Charles on web site), on Oct. 15th Thursday at 11:30am, interment and committal services at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Oct. 14th Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Donations maybe made to Compassionate Care Hospice 140 Littleton Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
