Nan was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She came to the United States in the early 1930’s becoming a citizen shortly thereafter. She married John Eltvedt in March of 1938 and had three daughters. Nan and John lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Lake Telemark in 1955. She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Lake Telemark Country Club. Nan retired from Warner-Chillcot as a Lab Technician enjoying retirement in Lake Telemark and Tamarack, FL. She is survived by daughters, Joan Cosgrove, of Budd Lake, Diane Miceli and her husband Joseph of Maryland, Linda Bednarz, of Parsippany; Grandchildren, Richard Bodine of New York, Meredith DiGennaro and her husband Terry, of Virginia and Martin Cosgrove and his wife Tina, and great grandson Keegan, of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Nieces and nephews in New York State, Ireland and Canada. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband John and two grandsons, John Eric Cosgrove and Stanley John Bednarz, her sister Una Gordon of Newtownards, Northern Ireland and son-in-law Stanley Bednarz. Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Saturday June 27th that Rev. John W. Hansen will conduct at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 508 Green Pond Rd., Rockaway Twp., NJ 07866. In lieu of flowers donations to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
