Obituary of Joyce Hubschman

Please share a memory of Joyce to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Joyce Hubschman (Doerner) peacefully departed this world on January 13, 2024, just four months short of her 90th birthday.

Joyce grew up in Jersey City, NJ, attended Cazenovia College in NY, and raised her family with her husband, George, in Alpine, NJ, and later in Green Pond, NJ. Her professional journey led her to serve as the Borough Clerk for Alpine and Rockaway townships. She dedicated herself to her family and worked passionately and diligently.

Joyce had many pursuits outside of her family and professional life. Her hobbies and passions included cooking, playing tennis, traveling, Mahjong, and volunteering. She had many friends and was a pillar of strength, resilience, generosity, and warmth.

Her beloved husband, George J. Hubschman Jr., preceded her in death after 47 years of shared love. Joyce leaves behind a legacy cherished by her loving children, Dana Czulada of Newfoundland, NJ, Lisa LaCorte of Laguna Beach, CA, George Hubschman of Cresskill, NJ, Tom Hubschman of Yucca Valley, CA, and Michael Hubschman of Demarest, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alison, Jack, Michael, Erik, Jake, Caroline, and Sarah.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held in late spring at Norman Dean Home for Services, located at 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834. Further details about the service schedule will be provided on www.normandean.com, so please check back for updates.
