Obituary of Anthony Charles DeMarco

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” DeMarco who passed away on November 30th, 2023, surrounded by family. Anthony lived to the age of 81 and was known by all as a kind and caring man.

Anthony met the love of his life at the young age of 13, 7 years later they were married. Anthony and Johanna met at Bradley Beach, which naturally became one of his favorite places. In addition to Aruba where him and Johanna would vacation creating memories that are now priceless. The two of them had started a family of their own. Bringing into this world their son Michael and daughter Angela. Then Michael and Angela gave him the greatest gifts of all, his grandchildren. He cherished every moment he got to spend time with them.

Throughout life Anthony was a loyal employee to his local 1095 County Glass where he retired from his career in 2005. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working as a Bartender as well for over 30 years at the Belmont Tavern in Belleville, NJ. He loved working there and his customers loved him. Above all he was the most amazing husband, father, grandfather, and uncle anyone could ask for and he will forever be deeply missed.

Anthony’s memory will live on through his devoted wife of 61 years, Johanna DeMarco. His loving children Michael (Laura) DeMarco and Angela (Lorenzo) Marinuzzi. His cherished grandchildren Teresa Marinuzzi, Gianna DeMarco, and Gulianna DeMarco. His sister Angela (Joseph) LoPresti, nieces and nephews Angela, John, and Joseph. Lastly, his beloved Sasha his furever best friend.

A public visitation to honor Anthony will be held on Monday, December 4th, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ. Entombment will follow Tuesday, December 5th at 11:30AM at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ.
