Obituary of Anthony J. Garro, Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony Garro Jr.  Please keep Anthony and his family in your prayers during this very difficult time. 

Anthony  passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.  He shared 49 years of kindness and good will with everyone he knew. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 15 Myers Ave, Denville.  Entombment to follow at Madonna Cemetery & Mausoleum in Fort Lee, NJ.  Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday, December 3rd from 6-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville.  Please share your memories here.  His family will cherish them forever.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Anthony, Sr. and Mary Ann, his beautiful daughter Felicia and his sister Dawn, her husband Joseph and his nephews Ryan and Sean.

Anthony grew up as an avid fly fisherman and cyclist. He attended the Walden School, NYC, the Tenafly schools, and the Community School in NJ and graduated high school from the Elan School in ME. He attended Dade County Community College. He was well known and well liked in his adopted city of Kingston, NY, and cared deeply for his community there.

He will be missed by his family in both MA and NJ and friends and their families from Tenafly and Kingston.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the March of Dimes for their support of research on alcohol-related birth defects and fetal alcohol syndrome by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
