Obituary of Garry Lee Della-Calce

Garry Della-Calce passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ.

Garry was born on February 28, 1954, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, New York City, NY to Charles and Genevieve Della-Calce. He was spent most of his life in Denville alongside his four siblings and after graduating from Morris Knolls High School, Garry continued his education at County College of Morris, where he earned an associate degree in Business. Garry dedicated more than 27 years of his career to the United States Postal Service, where he worked faithfully as a letter carrier. He later continued to stay active in his community, working part-time at the White Meadow Lake Clubhouse and lending a hand at Rock Ridge Country Club in Hackettstown.

Outside of work, Garry appreciated the simple pleasures that made life enjoyable. He loved spending time on the golf course, catching up with friends, and watching his favorite sports. A proud New York sports fan, Garry could often be found cheering on the Giants, Yankees, and Rangers. Whether enjoying a round of golf, talking with friends, or settling in to watch a game, he valued the time spent doing the things he loved with the people he cared about.

Garry will be remembered for his easygoing nature, his dedication to his work and community, and the friendships he built throughout his life. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring comfort and joy to all who knew and loved him.

Garry is now survived by his siblings, Stephen Della-Calce (Elsie), Jennifer Della-Calce,William Della-Calce (Donna), his nieces and nephews, Stephen Della-Calce (Michelle), Matthew Della-Calce (Jennifer), Alyssa Della-Calce, Stephanie Charette, Brianna Della-Calce, William Della-Calce, Nicholas Della-Calce, as well as many friends who will remember him fondly.
