Obituary of Roger Allen Yagozinski

Roger A. Yagozinski (1942-2026)

Mr. Roger A. Yagozinski, aged 84, passed away on July 21, 2026. Roger was born and raised in New York City and was the son of the late Paul and Stella Yagozinski. Roger was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Roger grew up with an adventurous soul. He chose to go to Aviation High School in NYC because he was interested in the computer industry. After graduating he went to night classes to be certified as a computer technician. While working at the help desk at Met Life, Roger met and fell in love with his wife Dolores, whom he would be married to for 55 years until her death in 2024. Roger worked hard to provide for his wife and their son, Steven. He also served in his community; coaching in local youth sport leagues and volunteering at parish community events. Roger was an avid sports fan. Playing Softball, Golf, and Bowling in his younger days as well as rooting for his sports teams-New York Rangers, Yankees, and Giants. His greatest happiness came from being a grandparent and playing games with them.

Roger was predeceased by his wife Dolores, sister Eris Wisniowski, sister & brother-in-law Janet & John Tobin, and nephew Jason Wisniowski. He is survived by his son, Steven (Ana), grandchildren: Samantha (Nicholas) Dischler, Justin, Joshua (Natalie), and Natalie, great-grandchild Wilhelmina, brother-in-law: Robert (Gail) Logan, Walter Wisniowski, nephews: John (Carol) Tobin, Robert (Stacey) Tobin, Brian (Patti) Tobin, Peter (Mariah) Wisniowski, nieces: Margaux (Byron) Stephen, Laurie (Matt) Tierney, Melissa Wisniowski and grandnephews: Matthew Stephen, Steven (Brenda) Tierney, Brian Tobin Jr., Kalen Tobin, Liam Tobin, Bailey Wisniowski, Hunter Wisniowski, Zachary (Sophie) Wisniowski.

A visitation will be held on Sunday July 26, 2026,  at Norman Dean Funeral Home, 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.  from 3-6pm. The funeral mass will be held on Monday July 27, 2026 at St. Celia’s Catholic Church, 90 Church St. Rockaway, at 10AM followed by a graveside service at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
