Obituary of Scott R. Brockson

Scott R. Brockson passed away peacefully at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville on June 28, 2026, at the age of 60.

Born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, to John and Patricia G. (Eggleston) Brockson, Scott was raised in northern New Jersey and lived in Whippany, Pine Brook, and Boonton before making his home in Rockaway two years ago.

Scott was a proud master plumber and a dedicated member of Union Local #24. He truly loved his trade and took great pride in his work. Whether on the job or at home, Scott was always happiest when he was fixing, building, or modifying something, since he was so mechanically inclined. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed riding whenever he could. Above all, Scott will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and his readiness to do anything for anyone at any time.

Scott was predeceased by his beloved mother, Patricia G. Brockson; his brothers, Michael Brockson and Greg Brockson; and his nephew, Michael Brockson Jr.

He is survived by his loving son, Tyler Brockson of Pine Brook, and Tyler's mother, Stacy Brockson; his father, John Brockson, of Little Falls; his sister, Tricia Jones of Rockaway; his brother, Robert Brockson of Easton, Pennsylvania; his nephew, Christopher Jones; his niece, Amanda Jones; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834. www.normandean.com.

A funeral procession will depart Norman Dean Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, to Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Interment will immediately follow.
