Obituary of Beatrice "Bea" Marie Titus
Beatrice Marie Titus, affectionately known as "Bea," passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, after living 94 years filled with laughter, love, and devotion to those she held dear.
Bea was born on January 24, 1932, to Ralph and Georgina Imhoff in Montclair, New Jersey. During her childhood, Bea and her family moved frequently, allowing her to experience many different places and make lasting friendships along the way.
One of those friendships would ultimately change the course of her life. A good friend arranged a date for Bea with a young man named Lindberg. What began as a simple introduction blossomed into a lifelong love story. The couple married in December of 1950 and embarked on a marriage filled with partnership, commitment, and countless cherished memories.
Together, Bea and Lindberg built a beautiful life and family. They first settled in Livingston before spending time raising their children in Vineland and Newton. Wherever life took them, Bea made every house a home, filling it with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.
A special place in Bea's heart was Estling Lake in Denville, where she eventually took over her family's beloved summer home. For generations, the lake served as a gathering place where family memories were made, traditions were established, and laughter echoed across the water. Even in her final years, Bea delighted in visiting the lake, reminiscing about the many joyful moments shared there with family and friends. Whether she was spending a summer afternoon by the water or cheering on her beloved New York Yankees, Bea found happiness in life's simple pleasures.
Bea was also a devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Livingston Chapter. She gave countless hours to their charitable efforts and earned the title of Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.
Above all else, Bea loved her family. She embraced her role as the family's matriarch with pride and purpose. A natural caretaker, she devoted herself to ensuring that everyone she loved felt safe, supported, and cared for. Whether offering guidance, preparing a meal, lending a listening ear, or simply being present when someone needed her, Bea's love was constant and unwavering.
Her family was the center of her world, and the legacy she leaves behind is one of kindness, strength, selflessness, and enduring love. Bea's legacy is now carried on by her family; her children, Steven Titus, Jane DeAngelis, Eileen Toll (William), Debbie Keely (Joseph Jr.), her daughter-in-law Karen Titus, her grandchildren, Patrick, Noelle, Matthew, Robert, Shannon, Christie, Lindsay, her great grandchildren, Elena and Leon, as well as many friends and neighbors who will remember her fondly. Bea is now reunited with those who passed before her; her beloved husband, Lindberg Titus, her son, Daniel Titus, her brothers, George Dewey Imhoff, David T. Imhoff, and her parents, Ralph and Georgina Imhoff (nee Foote).
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family takes comfort in the countless memories she created and the example she set throughout her extraordinary life. Her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
