I went to elementary school middle and high school with Chuck and we lived down the street from one another. He was such a kind person with a big heart. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Q: What was one of the qualities of Charles that you loved most?
A: Chuck used to mow our lawn. That is how I met him. He was a beer drinker like me. I always enjoyed talking with him about things going on. I knew him during the time Malissa was in a real fight. With deepest condolences to the Novak family and Malissa's family. I am so sorry for your loss.

Even though life took us to different places, my cousin has always held a special place in my heart. Some of my sweetest childhood memories are wrapped up in his adorable smile and the way he could make me laugh without even trying. He had a lightness about him, a warmth that made you feel at ease and a humor that stayed with you long after the moment passed.
Distance never changed that. Time never dimmed it. I will always carry those memories, and I will always carry him with me.

Chuck was a teammate on the Ambush team in the Denville Men's Softball League. He was a good teammate with a fiery personality, and always with a smile. The Ambush team will miss him and he will always be a part of the team. We dedicate this season in his honor.

I know I drove Chuck crazy with my collection of crappy cars and my total disregard of every dent, broken taillight, dead battery, and plain old “it doesn’t work” issue of those crappy cars! But he was always ready and willing to help me out, blow the snow away, move something, and just generally be a great neighbor!
Chuck, I hope you know how much I appreciate you and enjoyed talking to you! We will miss you something fierce up here on Hillcrest! Sending all my love and sympathy to Malissa, and your family and friends.
With love, Michele, Liam, and Kieran ❤️❤️❤️

I'm devastated by your passing Chuck but glad that your years of medical pain and suffering are now over. You and Mal have been my Hillcrest Drive family and I always said you and Mal are a "God send" of love, support and assistance to me by helping me maintain my lawn and driveway, Mal's special meals and most recently installing a mailbox. I miss our
conversations. Eternal rest grant to him Lord! Let your everlasting light shine on him and give him peace !!!

On May 30, 2026, our friend, Charles ‘Chuck’ Novak passed away at age 52. Our heart goes out to Chuck’s wife, Malissa and their family.
Our softball players fondly remember Chuck, and his incredible devotion to Randolph ‘s Parks and Recreation department. For 35 years he maintained the fields beautifully, and we played softball every week knowing that all fields would be perfect to play our games.
There are so many players that go way back and remember his devotion. We all thank you Chuck for all you did.
He will be missed by all the lives he touched.

Chuck was a great guy…I saw him daily at the parks while walking my dogs but we lost touch when my schedule changed in 2026…I’m very surprised to see his obituary but I’m super happy he did get to retire as he spoke often about it.
Sincere condolences to his wife as his dedication to her cause was noble.
