Obituary of Madeline Elaine Wianecki
Madeline Elaine Wianecki, a longtime resident of Rockaway, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 9, 2026, at the age of 85.
To know Madeline was to know love, strength, loyalty, and family. She was the center of her family’s world a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a true friend to so many. Her greatest joy in life was simply being surrounded by the people she loved most.
Madeline shared nearly 65 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert Wianecki, building a life filled with love, laughter, traditions, and unwavering devotion to their family.
She was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. Her warmth, kindness, and friendly spirit left lasting impressions wherever she went. To Madeline, family was never limited to blood; if you were part of her life, you were family. She loved deeply, protected fiercely, and stood loyally beside the people she cared about through everything.
Madeline was strong in every sense of the word. She faced life with incredible determination, courage, and what many would describe as superhuman strength and will. No matter what challenges came her way, she met them head-on with resilience and grace.
Her family traditions were sacred to her, especially Christmas Eve, which she made sure everyone attended each and every year. Those gatherings were more than celebrations; they were expressions of the love and togetherness she worked so hard to create throughout her life. The memories made around her table will be treasured forever.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Wianecki; her children, Denise Stone and Brenda Weaver, Ray and Karen Wianecki, Robert and Mia Wianecki Jr., and Karl and Janna Wianecki. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Grandma”: Kacey and Tim, Ryan and Estephy, Shanna and Krystal, Alyssa, Keir, Kaitlyn, Alessandra, Zoe, Max, and Ben. Her cherished great-grandchildren Blake, Owen, and Jett who knew her lovingly as “GiGi,” a title she wore with immense pride and love.
Madeline’s love was the kind that stays with you forever. Her strength, her traditions, her laughter, and the way she made people feel cared for will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
