Linda Mae Evans, age 80, passed away peacefully on April 17, surrounded by the love of her family after a long and courageous battle.

Linda met the love of her life, and from the moment they found each other, the rest was history. Their love story began on the dance floor, where they fell in love and built a bond that would last a lifetime. They were married on November 18, 1967, and soon settled in Boonton Township, where they made their home and became cherished members of the community for nearly 50 years. Together, they shared 54 beautiful years of marriage until John’s passing in 2022.

Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved a good game of Scrabble with her beloved husband, rarely missed her favorite shows on the Game Show Network, and faithfully completed her crossword puzzles each morning. She and John enjoyed many trips to the casino, and she looked forward each year to cherished weekends spent with her cousins. Known for her punctuality, Linda was someone you could always count on.

Her greatest and most treasured role was that of “Nany.” She adored her grandchildren and took immense pride in the love she shared with them.

Linda is survived by her children, John M. Evans (Melissa) and Sue Feliciano; and her beloved grandchildren, Garrison and Dillon Evans, and Bryan and Mikayla Feliciano. She was predeceased by her husband, John Evans; her sister, Patricia Rishcoff; and two siblings who tragically passed at a young age.

Linda’s legacy is one of enduring love, devotion to family, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

All services will be held privately.
