Please share a memory of Natalie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Natalie “Scottie” (nee Scott) Berry passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at The Oaks in Denville, New Jersey.

Born in Nyack, New York, the only daughter of Martha (Fisher) and David Scott, she grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, amid a large, loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins.  She brought that sense of family as she and her husband David Berry made their own home in Pittsburgh, raising three sons in a house filled with laughter, music, and love. In 1976, they relocated to Morristown, and later Denville, New Jersey.  She lost her beloved David in 2009.

A two-time cancer survivor, Scottie faced ovarian and breast cancer with remarkable strength and grace – and she beat them both. She lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and deep devotion to others. She brought her ever-present smile, her love of singing, and her unwavering concern for the well-being of others to her church community, and local bridge clubs as well as her active participation with Welcome Wagon. For 30 years, she volunteered at Morristown Medical Center, dedicating her time and energy to helping those in need.

Scottie is survived by her loving sons: Michael Berry and his partner, Dr. Naomi Aronson, of Bethesda, Maryland; Timothy Berry of Manchester, Connecticut; and Daniel Berry and his wife, Linda, of Brick, New Jersey. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Christopher Berry and his wife, Shannon, of Glendale, Arizona; Alisha Berry of Manchester, Connecticut; Caitlin Fagan and her husband, Richard, of Surprise, Arizona; and Colin Berry and his wife, Laura of Parsippany. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Cora Berry and Kennedy Fagan.

Private services were held under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services, Denville, New Jersey.www.normandean.com.

Scottie will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity of spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her.

From all her extended family we say - thank you for the music.
